Each game will consist of two 22-minute halves. Any overtime period is 2 minutes. There is a 5-minute grace period to have required number of players to begin game.
​ Change of Possession:
Taking the ball back is free throw line extended and must be two feet as well as the ball behind the line.
Running clock:
1st half - until any timeout or whistle during last 1 minute
2nd half - until any timeout or whistle during the last 2 minutes. Clock will also stop after made baskets during the last 2 minutes.
Timeouts:
2 timeouts per team per half. If a team only calls one timeout
in 1st half, they will be allowed 3 timeouts in 2nd half.
Fouls:
(5) personal fouls per player for entire game.
If a player fouls out and his team has no available subs, that player can remain in game following a 2 shot technical penalty, opposing team also gets the ball. If player remains in game and fouls again, it will be another 2-shot penalty, along with the ball.
​If the player chooses not to return, he is no longer eligible to return should there be an overtime.
A technical foul also counts as a personal foul.
2 technical fouls in same game equals in an automatic ejection.
Note: a player CAN be ejected with only one technical foul.
One and one bonus on 7th team foul and 2 shot double bonus on team's 10th foul.
Shot Clock:
There is a 30 second shot clock during the last 5 minutes of 2nd half and overtime period. If a foul occurs with less than 15 seconds remaining on shot clock, shot clock will reset to 20 seconds.
Sub & Pickup rule:
If both teams have 5 players at start of game, then EACH player must sit at least 3 minutes, each half. If one team has 5 players and the other team only has 4 players at beginning of game, then there is no mandatory sit rule, just ensure that sub plays adequate time.
If a team is missing a 1,2 or 3 they may pick-up a player ranked one slot lower. If a team is missing a 4 or a 5 they can pick up a player of the same round.
If a player gets injured and is ruled out for the rest of the game, the pickup rule applies.
If a team is also missing their 5, one must be picked to go along with the other player they pick up if the opposing team has their 5.
All pickup requests must be approved by the committee.
(Any clear violation of the pick-up rule will result in a forfeit)
No player may berate another player, referee, or scorekeeper. If a player is caught berating another player, referee, or scorekeeper, that player will be assessed a technical foul and if the player continues, will be asked to leave the courts. If the infraction happens after the end of the players game, a technical foul will be called on that player and will be assessed at that teams next game. If in the opinion of the referee or commissioner the infraction warrants, the player will be suspended for one or more games.
